Mural On a Sculpture
I’m excited to announce that I’ve been selected as one of five artists for the Turkeys Around Town project in Brookline, MA. My winning design features a painted sculpture of a turkey adorned with irises, symbolizing hope and resilience. Currently at Brookline’s workspace, but this artwork will find its permanent home at St. Mary’s MBTA station in Brookline by the end of summer 2024.
Commission for Bartaco, Brookline, MA, 2024
I was commissioned by Bartaco to create a mural that embodies the restaurant's distinctive style. The client wanted an artwork that reflects their beach-themed ambiance, inspired by a relaxed, coastal lifestyle. The mural features a girl on a bicycle with a surfboard, capturing the essence of joy and movement that aligns with Bartaco's vibrant atmosphere.

Commission for Bartaco, Fenway, Boston, MA, 2024
Completing the mural at Bartaco in Fenway was a rewarding challenge. Despite facing obstacles such as limited working hours before the restaurant opened and dealing with an unsanded surface full of splinters, we successfully brought the vision to life without being able to project the design onto the wall.
A special acknowledgment goes to Alex Gerasev for the stunning design that played a crucial role in achieving the final result.
The clients are delighted with the outcome, and we are equally thrilled with the success of this project.
MassArt’s Evan’s Way & Animation Department Wall, 2023
Lydia immersed herself in the vibrant world of mural creation during her time at MassArt, where she honed her skills from translating drawings in her sketchbook to breathtaking full-size murals. Among her notable projects were the stunning peacock design by Xerxes and the playful monkey motifs crafted by Tor Aliberti. These experiences not only expanded her artistic repertoire but also enriched her understanding of spatial dynamics and collaborative processes.
